26 September, 2008 : - - Friday the 22rd of August saw the opening of a new surf/art concept store located in Currumbin on the Gold Coast. Owners Daniel MacDonald & Rebekah Clarke hosted the event with an eye pleasing array of colour and art including canvas creations from the likes of Richard Harvey, Sean Scott, Nicholas Chalmers and Christian Chapman among many more.

26 September, 2008 : - - The 2008 Reef SA National Junior Surfing Championships presented by Ocean & Earth SA get under way at St Mikes on the KZN South Coast on Wednesday (October 1) when eight teams of surfers representing seven provinces as well as a South African Development Academy Team will participate in the 13th edition of this premier Surfing South Africa tournament.

26 September, 2008 : - - Capbreton -- Jeremy Flores (Capbreton/New Caledonia, FRA) may not have succeeded in winning the Quiksilver Pro France this week in Seignosse, but he still remains the best French and European surfer among the ASP Top 45 and will once again be leading the assault with fellow Europeans Aritz Aranburu (Zarautz, EUK), Tiago Pires (Ericeira, PRT) and Miky Picon (FRA).

26 September, 2008 : - - Seignosse -- Michel Bourez (Tahiti, PYF), 23, current ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) No. 14 and wildcard in the Quiksilver Pro France, ended his run in the Quarterfinals of the event after defeating three of the top 20 surfers including ASP World Tour No. 3 and 4 Bede Durbidge (AUS) and Joel Parkinson (AUS) respectively in Round 3 and 2.

27 September, 2008 : - - As of 2:00 p.m. EDT Saturday, Kyle was near 33.3 north, 69.7 west, or 300 miles west-northwest of Bermuda. Maximum-sustained winds were near 70 mph with tropical storm-force winds extending outward up to 205 miles to the east and northeast of the storm's center. The minimum central pressure was 998 millibars, or 29.47 inches. Kyle is moving north at 20 mph and should continue moving on this general course through tonight with in increase in forward speed. Later tonight, a turn to the north-northeast is anticipated, followed by more of a northeasterly path Sunday and Sunday night.
